Hi there, I'm Shanyah - The face behind the camera.

I'm a photographer based in South Brisbane making her way through life one step at a time.

I'm a mother to a beautiful little boy and am obsessed with documenting all things motherhood. Taking photos for me are very special, I hold them very close to my heart. Photos are what we show our little ones, family and friends when telling our story. Photography has always been a passion of mine ever since a young age. The birth of my son really brought me to want to take photos professioanlly for other families. Taking photos for me is like a pause in life in that exact moment a photo can tell a thousand stories.

I started Wild and Free Photography after I gave birth to my Son. Experiencing motherhood first hand really pushed me to start capturing beautiful moments for other mothers. What I love about motherhood is that every single mother’s story is different - making them so unique. 

I'm a country girl at heart, I have only ever listen to country music, I own horses that I ride. Being on the back of a horse for me is the freedom and joy you get out of it.
